Karthik is a Business Analytics graduate from California State University, Fullerton. Pursuing Master’s in Information Systems/Business Analytics, Karthik is an expert on Mathematics, Analytics, and Statistics. Karthik is driven by intellectual curiosity to find solutions in the most efficient way, and he loves solving problems. Karthik’s has demonstrated abilities to create an intuitive architecture that could help the organizations to efficiently process and analyze terabytes of structured and unstructured data. He has always been proactive. Karthik has strong Analytical skills, effective communication skills, and agile problem-solving abilities. Karthik has worked in four countries India, Dubai-UAE, Qatar, and the United States of America, this gave him an excellent understanding of business operation at global level. Furthermore, Karthik experienced different cultures and lifestyles, this shaped his international networks and improved his communication skills, and sharpening Karthik’s Time-Management and organisational skills while simultaneously building his confidence and self-reliance.

Karthik’s current job at Cal State Fullerton Auxiliary Services Corporation as an IT Student Assistant, lets him do a variety of things. His main focus is to pioneer business intelligence for data visualizations to support recommendations of the IT director in making core decisions for the California State University’s Technology advancement. He also integrates the university’s e-commerce with NetSuite’s SuiteCommerce API increasing online sales, financials, marketing, and merchandise. He also designs databases to support the University’s business applications that ensures the system scalability, security, performance and reliability. By analysing the University’s database, he builds SQL scripts, and queries for data mining and data modeling purposes. Apart for technical work, he also coaches the end-users ranging from novice to professionals on how to use point-of-sale devices, computers, software, programs, and printers while providing excellent customer service. He also develops database architectural strategies at the data modelling and implementation stages to address the Unniversity’s requirements.

Karthik started his career as a Technical Support Engineer at Techcomputers in Bangalore, India. It was more of an IT Administrator role. This is where Karthik’s base was formed where he mastered the basics of IT concepts and Networking. Eventually, becoming an expert on IT systems and IP networks, he was in-charge of updating and monitoring Oracle and MS SQL server database software for the company. He went all the way convincing the Management to upgrade its IT devices that improved the Network security and led to efficient troubleshooting procedures.

Karthik is an adventurer, not only did he plan to travel the world, he wanted to move and work all around the world. He joined Al-Futtaim Technologies, a Dubai-based Conglomerate, as Network Engineer. His job responsibilities were to implement Information Communication Technology (ICT) & Extra-Low voltage (ELV) systems for clients that include huge banking firms, luxury hotels, and hospitality industries to stabilize data connectivity that drastically improved service-level agreements. He configured switches, routers, wireless AP's, and WLAN controllers, CCTV systems, Access Control Systems (ACS) in Dubai Airports, banks, and 5-star hotels for the communication of confidential information. He also, optimized the effectiveness of ICT systems by consulting business partners and made suggestions for structural changes. Karthik focused teams on business objectives and tracked progress to assure the achievement of project milestones promptly.

Programming Languages known to Karthik includes JavaScript, Python, SQL, R programming and gAWK. He is an expert on working with tools like IBM Watson Analytics Google Essentials, NetSuite’s ERP SaaS, and Auto-Desk. His skills with Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Access, Work, and Visio are extra-ordinary. He is always successful in Project Management. Regarding Project Management, Karthik was put as a Supervisor for the “Madinat Jumeirah” Project in Dubai, representing the Information Communication Technology (ICT) division. As per the agreement Data, IP PABX, Wi-Fi systems, CCTV systems, Access control systems (ACS), IT security software and applications were under his commission. Taking the lead with a given team of 20 technical juniors, and a senior Project Manager, he planned strategically to deliver each milestone in time. Whenever the set targets were not practical or achievable, he negotiated with the vendors and consultants to find a common ground and set feasible objectives benefiting all the parties involved. For his goal-oriented attitude, and the adaptability to the dynamic technical challenges, Karthik was promoted to an Assistant Project Manager for the entire Madinat Jumeirah project till the Project’s final handover.

Karthik has strong Analytical skills, effective communication skills, and agile problem-solving abilities. He is motivated team player that gives much attention to detail and objective driven in his actions. Karthik is certified by CISCO and HUAWEI as a Network Associate and Professional respectively, along with IBM Watson Analytics and Google Essentials.

Fun facts about Karthik comprises from being a video gamer to a professional cricket player to a fitness freak. Growing up in a rural part of the Indian IT capital Bangalore, Karthik was exposed to multi-language and multi-cultural environment. This made him learn Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu along with his mother language Tamil. With professional experience in Dubai, Karthik learned Malayalam and a very little bit of Arabic.

Karthik was a State-level Athletics champion in Long Jump, and 100m track race. He also won a silver medal in Long Jump, and a bronze for High jump during his glorious school days.

Inspired by the famous quote, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country," by the late President Mr. John F Kennedy. Karthik believes in giving back to the community. He Volunteer in Red Cross and Red Crescent organization let campaigns in India for Blood Donations and he is a proud Blood Donor. In the United States Karthik volunteered for the Cal State Fullerton’s 60th Year Homecoming event, welcoming the pride Alumni of the University, and ensuring all the alumni revive their pleasant nostalgic events, and relive those moments. Soon, Karthik will be volunteering with AmeriCorps.
